Argus Lodge again wishes to thank all the re-enactors, Sutlers, and family members for the wonderful weekend we shared last year. The 105th Ohio Volunteer Infantry will again host the event, and it is our pleasure to cordially invite you back for the 6th Civil War Reenactment at Argus Park, in Canfield, Ohio.
The encampments will be set up on high ground separated and surrounded by thick woods. There will be demonstrations, exhibitions and displays during the weekend. President Lincoln will give his presentation prior to the dress parade. There will also be a number of activities for the whole family.
The mortars will again be able to fire in competition prior to the battles and ground charges will be used with the cannon during the battle.
The battles will be on Saturday and Sunday, with a Saturday Morning Tactical in our 44-acre forest, complete with trails, streams and bridges. The grass battlefield will feature the use of the amphitheater and period props and fences that will be set up for plenty of action for the average solider.
We will serve you a Free Breakfast on Saturday & Sunday Morning and also a Dinner on Saturday Evening in the pavilion.
Amenities include firewood, straw, ice, and water and military ball after the spectators have left. On Sunday morning there will be a worship service in the amphitheater.
There are spaces available for fifteen Sutlers and period craft people on Sutlers row. Please call for fees and arrangements.
You must be at least 16 years of age to carry a weapon and participate in the Battles.
Pre-registration fee is $6.00 until May 30, regular registration is $8.00 until June 30 and late registration and walk-ons will be $12.00. Children age twelve years of age and younger will be – free.
It is our goal to once again make this event as realistic and enjoyable for both the re-enactors and the public as possible. We will do as much as possible to accommodate you.
