It is a warm, sunny day. A gentle breeze caresses your skin as you watch clouds move across the sky. Birds are singing and grasshoppers chirping. Your moment of peace is shattered by the blast of cannon fire. You look to see the puffs of smoke as the Confederate artillery hammers away at the Union artillery who are busy returning a barrage of cannon fire. Skirmishers take to the field and advance towards each other. Both sides of the artillery are now scrambling to take aim on this new menace. Bodies are dropping as the cannons find their mark. Just when you think it is over the main body of troops emerge and start maneuvering to take the field. The devastation is immense as you see bodies lying everywhere. It seems the Union army is going to be victorious when a battle cry breaks the air and Confederate troops come up from a deep depression in the field. The Union are now trapped and their Commander realizes this. He calls for a retreat but the Confederate are overwhelming. He hangs his head and acknowledges his defeat. The white flag comes out and there is finally an uneasy feeling of peace once again.
